LitJoy | June 2018 Unboxing

LitJoy Unboxing
Theme: “Gothic Ghostbusters”

Featured Book

This month’s featured book was My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, and Brodi Ashton, which is a signed LitJoy exclusive edition. I bought the first book in the series as well, so I’m excited to read The Lady Janies books!

Book Description (from Goodreads): You may think you know the story. After a miserable childhood, penniless orphan Jane Eyre embarks on a new life as a governess at Thornfield Hall. There, she meets one dark, brooding Mr. Rochester. Despite their significant age gap (!) and his uneven temper (!!), they fall in love—and, Reader, she marries him. (!!!)

Or does she?

Prepare for an adventure of Gothic proportions, in which all is not as it seems, a certain gentleman is hiding more than skeletons in his closets, and one orphan Jane Eyre, aspiring author Charlotte Brontë, and supernatural investigator Alexander Blackwood are about to be drawn together on the most epic ghost hunt this side of Wuthering Heights.

Library Card Zipper Pouch

I absolutely adore zipper pouches and always find random goodies to store inside them. This LitJoy exclusive zipper pouch is simply lovely. I know I’ll put it to good use!

Hogwarts Ghost Notebook and Feather Pen

A little Moaning Myrtle and Nearly Headless Nick? Yes, please! This notebook, designed by Sumek, is so cute! I’m not sure what I’ll use it for, but for now it has a home on my bookshelf. This month’s crate also included a feather pen. I have a feeling the pen will be used as a Bookstagram prop in the future.

Tea-Time Tea Towel

How cute is this tea towel? I love it! Designed by Art by Lucy in the Sky, this tea towel already has a home draped around the handle of my stove.

Jane Eyre Woodmark

I’ve received 6 Ink & Wonder woodmarks from June subscription boxes, and I’m in love with them all. How cool is this one?

Bookish Extras

In addition to all of the other cool goodies in the June box, I also received a The Last Magician temporary tattoo, a booklet explaining this month’s crate, and the first two LitJoy trading cards. I love the idea of the trading cards! This month’s trading cards included Darcy & Elizabeth and Catherine & Heathcliff. The artwork is beautiful.

I love my LitJoy subscription! This might be my favorite LitJoy crate yet!

Let’s Talk!
