June Book Wrap Up

Monthly Wrap up 111

Is the year really half over? Where has the time gone? While I’m simply stunned that we’re already 6 months into 2018, I’m pleased with the books I’ve read this year! June was another fantastic month.

Book & Page Count

In June I read 9 books and 4,167 pages!

I averaged 463 pages per book in June which is my highest monthly average year to date. The shortest book I read was Saving Beck by Courtney Cole at 304 pages, and the longest book I read was The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon at 1,443 pages.

Average Rating

My average rating in June was 4! I read so many fantastic books. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many 5-star reads in a single month.

Book Type Breakdown

4 out of the 9 books I read this month were audiobooks! That’s on the high side for me, but The Fiery Cross took up a lot of my time, so I didn’t read as many e-book and physical books to offset the audiobooks.

Fiction / Non-Fiction Breakdown

I read only fiction books in June. That’s two months in a row. I’m going to have to ramp up my non-fiction reading to hit my goal of reading 25% non-fiction books for 2018.

ARC / Non-ARC Breakdown

I only read 1 ARC in June. I have some catch-up to do in July, but I’ve been staying on top of my ARC TBRs.

  1. Oh, my inner organiser screams with joy at your graphics! Love those bar and pie charts, so cool. 🙂 👌

Looks like you had a great reading month. I like how you mix physical copies with eBooks and audio reads – that’s something I do as well. 🙂

And good luck with your non-fiction goal! 🍀What non-fiction do you enjoy?

      1. Hello, my name is Vera and I am an Excel addict. 😂😂😂 Seriously, spreadsheets, tables, charts… I love them all. I record everything but somehow forgot about books. Thanks for giving me this great inspiration. 😊💕

From memoirs, I would personally recommend Educated and Born a Crime. Two excellent autobiographies. I nearly finished Born a Crime as an audiobook – it’s narrated by the author himself. He is a stand up comedian and talks about his childhood in South Africa 🇿🇦 He is passionate, does different voices so well, speaks different African languages. It’s wonderful and I am so glad I picked it as an audio version. 😊😍 Happy reading. 📚

      2. I also record everything in Excel! Goodreads’ export option makes tracking books really easy in Excel. 😊

I just added Born a Crime to my list. I’m going to see if I can get the audiobook through my library. Thanks so much for the recommendation ❤️📚

  2. The Surface Breaks has been on my wishlist since I heard about it! I love these breakdowns to see all the different stats about the books you’ve read. I always say I want to read more classics and non-fiction but I literally never get round to it, I don’t even have chance to read all the books already on my TBR which keeps getting bigger!
