March OwlCrate – Unboxing

I’m absolutely loving my OwlCrate subscription! If you haven’t checked it already, you should! While I loved the February box, I think I love the March box even more!

Theme: “Across the Galaxy”

Featured Book

This month’s featured book was a signed copy of Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston, which includes an OwlCrate exclusive cover and purple stained pages. The book is gorgeous, and I’m in love with the purple staining. I didn’t know much about this book prior to receiving it, but it sounds intriguing, and it’s gotten great reviews.

Book Description (from Goodreads): Seventeen-year-old Ana is a scoundrel by nurture and an outlaw by nature. Found as a child drifting through space with a sentient android called D09, Ana was saved by a fearsome space captain and the grizzled crew she now calls family. But D09—one of the last remaining illegal Metals—has been glitching, and Ana will stop at nothing to find a way to fix him.

Ana’s desperate effort to save D09 leads her on a quest to steal the coordinates to a lost ship that could offer all the answers. But at the last moment, a spoiled Ironblood boy beats Ana to her prize. He has his own reasons for taking the coordinates, and he doesn’t care what he’ll sacrifice to keep them.

When everything goes wrong, she and the Ironblood end up as fugitives on the run. Now their entire kingdom is after them—and the coordinates—and not everyone wants them captured alive.

What they find in a lost corner of the universe will change all their lives—and unearth dangerous secrets. But when a darkness from Ana’s past returns, she must face an impossible choice: does she protect a kingdom that wants her dead or save the Metal boy she loves?

Lunar Chronicles Mug

Included in this box was a Lunar Chronicles inspired mug designed by Sasha Natasha. I absolutely love it–I think this is my favorite item! Right now I’m using it to hold my bookmarks.

OwlCrate Exclusive Infinity Scarf

An OwlCrate exclusive infinity scarf was tucked into this month’s box. It’s beautiful, ridiculously soft, and goes great with the this months’ theme! I’m excited to wear it and use it as a prop for future bookstagram pictures.

Wick & Fable Bookish Candle

I’ve been drooling over Wick & Fable’s candles for a while now so I was so excited to receive one in this month’s box! This month’s candles were inspired by The Illuminae Files and subscribers either received Kady Grant or Hannah Donnelly. I got Kady Grant! It smells fresh and citrusy, and I’m excited to burn it.

This hand-painted watercolor bookmark, featuring a Star Wars quote, was created by Lexy Olivia. It’s so pretty!!!

Red Rising Print

I love the quote on this Red Rising print. This is a print that I would happily frame and display in my future library. #goals

Heart of Iron Poster

In this month’s crate, I also received a Heart of Iron poster. While it certainly looks cool, I’m not big on posters, so I don’t think I’ll do anything with it.

Bookish Extras

The OwlCrate box came with literature explaining the “Across the Galaxy” box, as well as a sneak peak into next month’s “Shadows & Secrets” box. I have no idea what next month’s book will be, but it sounds fabulous! I also received an OwlCrate exclusive pin, and a Guardians of the Galaxy Pint-Sized Heroes FUNKO. Subscribers received either GROOT, Star-Lord, or Rocket. I got Star-Lord, and he’s now guarding my books.
